Congratulations to Switzerland County Middle Schhol for earning a spot as a 2023 CSForGood Finalist! Team members are Micah Jessup, Patrick Browning, Scott Cunningham and Trevor Ferrari. Students teams were challenged to show off their computer science skills by submitting a technology project – either a software application, website, physical computing device or prototype (digital or paper) – that demonstrates how computer science can be used for good when applied to real problems that affect their schools and communities. The SCMS team created a website for easy access/information to the corporation Food Pantry. There were over 50 submissions from across the State of Indiana and from that pool, the top 4 teams from each division (Elem, Middle and High school) were invited the Nextech CSforGood Celebration at the Indiana Statehouse during Computer Science Education Week to showcase their projects, along with how they honed their problem solving, teamwork and CS skills, to a panel of judges, legislators, policy leaders, influencers and the tech community. While at the Statehouse, several Senators were in attendance and came up to talk with our students and get information about thier project. Students were then escorted into Governor Eric Holcomb's office where they had a short conversation and a photo with Governor.

Collaborating with @Five_Tech allows for so many capabilities for @switzsc administrators, teachers, and students. #partnerships #PacerPride
