Learn more about the summer reading program and even pre-register your child for the event at the Living in Literacy Day!

Living in Literacy Community Partnership Spotlight: Community Foundation of Switzerland County Inc. What do they do? The Community Foundation of Switzerland County Inc. launched the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program in Switzerland County in 2006. The program provides specially-selected, age-appropriate books to registered Switzerland County children at home each month from birth to age five. Best of all, the program is free to the enrolled children and their families. Check them out at our event to get your child signed up for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library!

Living in Literacy Day Community Partnership Spotlight: New Hope Pregancy Center What do they do? New Hope Pregnancy Center offers support and hope for women facing unplanned pregnancy. We offer free and confidential pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and parenting education. We also offer free monthly closet visits to help with diapers, wipes, clothing, and other baby items. They will be set up at the event to help mothers get the support and resources they may need for themselves or their infant!

History came alive in Mrs. Rogers' Reading class with CKLA today! Her 5th graders recreated Martin Luther's famous protest by presenting their 'Niney-FiveTheses' to Mrs. Kitts. The Reformation had far-reaching consequences, including the establishment of new religious traditions, the rise of secularism, and the development of new political systems. What a creative and engaging way to learn about the Reformation! Mrs. Kitts received a lot of critiques centered around longer recesses and lunches. :) #PreparingPacer #PositivePacers
