Mission Statement

The Mission of the Switzerland County School Corporation, in cooperation with students, parents, and the community, shall be to provide for all eligible persons a legal and cost-effective educational opportunity presented in modern, comfortable, and safe facilities by a professionally trained and developed staff utilizing state-of-the-art educational technology.

Coping with School Shootings

Children respond to trauma in many different ways. Some have reactions very soon after the event; others may do fine for weeks or months, and then begin to show troubling behavior. Knowing the signs that common at different ages can help parents and teachers recognize problems and respond appropriately. Switzerland County School Corporation is dedicated to help students through those troubling times. My School Bucks

My School Bucks is an online application that allows parents to manage their child’s lunch room activities.  Parents can view balances,make deposits, as well as view all daily lunch expenditures.

Skyward Family Access

Skyward is Switzerland County School Corporation’s electronic gateway for student information.  Parents are able to view student progress including attendances and grades as well as update emergency contact information. For more information on access please contact your student’s school.


Immunization Information

When a child enters Switzerland County Schools for the first time or any subsequent time at any level, his/her parents or guardians must show that the child has been immunized by filing a physicians statement that includes a schedule of the immunizations, or file a parental objection to immunization based on religious grounds. No child shall be permitted to attend school beyond the first date of his/her enrollment without furnishing a written statement of immunization unless:
  1. The school gives the parent/guardian a waiver not to exceed twenty (20) days.
  2. The local health department or a physician determines the student’s immunization schedule has been delayed due to extreme circumstances and the required immunizations will not be completed before the students first day of school. In this case the parent/ guardian shall furnish a written statement and a time schedule approved by a physician or the local health department for the completion of the immunizations.
