SCHS Business Professionals of America has 4 students going to Nationals!

The Switzerland County High School chapter of Business Professionals of America(BPA) has several students advancing to national competition. BPA aims to develop leadership, academic, and technological skills in the workplace among students and leaders within the community. Every year BPA hosts a National Leadership Conference (NLC) with nearly 6,000 students from across the nation. At NLC, students compete in over 71 competitive events with students from across the United States. The 2018 National Leadership Conference will take place in Dallas, TX on May 9 through May 13.

Calleigh Powell-advancing in 2 competitions- 1st in Prepared Speech and 4th in Interview Skills

Garett Demaree– advancing in 2 competitions-3rd in Interview Skills and 5th in Advanced Spreadsheets

Sydney Thomas– advancing in Fundamental Desktop Publishing

Ariel Oeffinger will be going to nationals as our new district 12 President and will be attending the Leadership Academy. Ariel also made finals in Economic Research.

Emma Sullivan placed 7th in Entrepreneurship

Give these students some congratulations when you see them. Qualifying for NLC is not an easy task and requires hard work, practice and dedication throughtout the year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The high school and middle school chapters will join together to make the trip for NLC. Middle school had 2 students qualify-

Ben Smith– 1st in Financial Literacy

Craig Demaree– 3rd in Spreadsheets
