Next Generation Hoosier Education Scholarship Winner – Aliya Young

The Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship provides 200 high-achieving high school and college students interested in pursuing a career in education the opportunity to earn a renewable scholarship of up to $7,500 per year of college (up to $30,000 total) for four academic years. In exchange, students agree to teach for five years at an eligible Indiana school or repay the corresponding, prorated amount of the scholarship.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must have either graduated in the top 20 percent of their high school class or
earned a score in the top 20th percentile on the SAT (1220) or ACT (26).

Aliya will be attending Ball State University to earn a degree in Elementary Education. She has been an active student at Switzerland county High School and is a member of the following organizations;

*National Honor Society

*Spanish Club

*Student Council

*Outdoors Club

*SADD

*Pep Club

*Fellowship of Christian Athletes

*Key Club

Aliya is the daughter of Brad & Tiffany Young of Vevay, IN.
