From Coach Eric Cole-
The ORVC held its conference swim meet at Milan on January 15, 2019. This was the 5th year for the conference meet. This is one meet that teams circle on their calendars each year. The suspense for the teams was delayed this year due to the snow on Saturday the day the meet was originally scheduled.
The Switzerland County Lady Pacers pulled out their first conference title by distancing themselves from second place Southwestern. Final scores for the ladies meet were Switz County 293, Southwestern 265, South Ripley 216, And Milan 199.
Members of the Lady Pacers earning all conference honors were: Zoe Cole in the 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay, Allison Furnish in the 100 Breaststroke, 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay, Abigail Niswander in the 50 Free, 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay, Abigail Cole in the 400 Free Relay, and Alisha Detmer in the 200 free relay
One Senior, 2 Juniors 1 Sophomore, and 1 Freshman were named to the team. This bodes well for the future of Switzerland County Swimming
Members of the Conference Championship team are: Zoe Cole, Ally Furnish, Abigail Niswander, Anastasia Faddis, Abigail Cole, Brooke Johnson, Josie Stogsdill, Aalyiah Ridener, and Alish Detmer. Everyone contributed and played a critical role in the victory.
The boy title was won by the team from Milan (337) followed by Southwestern (152), Switz Co (73) and South Ripley (19).
