The Jefferson – Craig Elementary Student Council sponsored Pennies for Patients to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Their goal was to raise $750.  They far exceeded their goal by raising $2,315.17.  Jefferson – Craig had 6 classrooms raise over $100 each:

Mrs. Jennifer Chase (Kindergarten),

Mrs. Linda Johnson (1st grade),

Mrs. Sandy Jones (2nd grade),

Mrs. Dawn Ransdell (4th grade),

Mr. Allen Chase (6th grade)

Mrs. Lesa McGarvey (6th grade).  The classroom raising the most was Mr. Allen Chase with $338.40.  

During the second week of the fundraiser they had a Spirit Week where each day the students were asked to bring in a certain coin.  Monday was Pajama Pennies – winning class was Mrs. McGarvey with $66.12.  Tuesday was Neon Nickel – winning class was Mrs. Johnson with $13.80.  Wednesday was Dazzling Dimes – winning class was Mr. Chase with $36.60.  Thursday was Crazy Quarters with Mrs. McGarvey’s class winning with $77.50.  Friday was Team Dollar Day – winning class was Mrs. Justice with $45.00.
