Wednesday, September 28th was Switzerland County Schools first ever eLearning Day. While middle and high school students were at home logging in and getting online to do classwork, 7-12 grade teachers were also starting their own day of eLearning. In addition to having online office hours for students to ask questions or request help, teachers also participated in school wide professional development. The training ranged from our corporation’s Student Management System to the Smart TVs that are in some classrooms and also included various online teaching tools that can be used in the classroom to facilitate student learning.
In the coming days, much discussion will be had on what worked, what didn’t work and ideas to make eLearning days as effective as possible for our students.
