21st Century Community Learning Center Grant

Notice of Intent to Apply

Switzerland County School Corporation is providing a public notice to the community of its intent to submit an application for the Cohort 10 – 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) grant. The 21st CCLC program provides federal funding to establish or expand community partnerships.  These partnerships will continue to provide students with opportunities for academic enrichment, youth development, and family support during periods when school is not in session.  The main goal of the 21st CCLC program is to provide students with academic enrichment opportunities and support services to help them meet state and local standards in the core content areas.

Switzerland County School Corporation will partner with Switzerland County YMCA and enter the 2020 Cohort 10 – 21st CCLC grant competition with the intent to provide services to Jefferson Craig Elementary School and Switzerland County Elementary School.

Switzerland County School Corporation will offer after school services designed to support academic achievement and foster positive social and emotional development.  Participants in this program will participate in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) curriculum as well as receiving remediation in the core content areas at the elementary level.

We welcome any suggestions or feedback you might have.  Please send suggestions to [email protected].

Sincerely,
